For over two decades, Nā Hoa Holomoku (NHH) has proudly called beautiful Hilo Bay home. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, NHH is dedicated to providing safe, affordable access to sailing and fostering a deep appreciation for the ocean within our Hawai’i Island community. NHH is thrilled to partner with Manifest Youth Sailing Foundation to bring this incredible experience to our keiki!

More Than a Camp – It’s a Foundation for Growth!
We believe sailing uniquely empowers young people. Our Keiki Sailing Camps are carefully designed programs that blend expert instruction with the exhilaration of hands-on learning on the water. While mastering sailing skills is key, our core mission is nurturing essential life skills: building self-reliance, fostering unshakeable confidence, and promoting teamwork that extends far beyond the docks. We welcome every child – our focus is on cultivating a love for the ocean and sailing in a supportive, inclusive environment. Join our sailing ‘ohana and let’s Sail On together!
What Your Keiki Will Learn & Experience:
Safety is paramount in all our programs. Under the guidance of our experienced and certified instructors, campers receive comprehensive training in a positive, encouraging setting.
They will master essential skills including:
- Proper rigging and boat care
- Safe launching and landing techniques
- Fundamental sailing maneuvers and confident capsize recovery
- Respectful boating practices and ocean awareness
New sailors build a solid foundation, while experienced youth sailors find new challenges to sharpen their abilities. The knowledge gained – about wind, water, communication, and personal resilience – translates into valuable life lessons. Campers enjoy exploring our diverse fleet, from agile one-person dinghies fostering independence to larger vessels emphasizing teamwork.

Open to All Youth (Ages 8-18):
No prior sailing experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a readiness for adventure! Keiki younger than 8 years old will be allowed at camp with approval from Coach Rhonda.
